Omaha
...or should I just say Oh My God. Couple of my friends have been playing Omaha for a while and I decided to give it a go during my Christmas break. First of all, even though Omaha is a Hold'Em game it is totally different from Texas Hold'Em. I figured that out after making a couple rookie mistakes by misreading my hand with the board etc.
After couple of 'educational' rounds or basically days I finally started to understand that how the game is actually played and it is actually very fun. You get much more action when playing Omaha than Texas Hold'Em. And the winning hands are usually bigger so it feels better to win with full house rather than just Ace High. Yeah, I know. That just sounds stupid but that's the way it is.
So... What have I learned so far? Well at least that if you follow some basic strategy (sorry the page is in Finnish) in Omaha you should be able to pull some money out of low limit tables quite easily but it seems that your bankroll really goes up and down quite rapidly so beware of the silent callers ;)
What else? Yes. Go and try out Omaha. I think that it is more entertaining game to play than Texas Hold'Em but still I think that Texas Hold'Em is more difficult game to 'beat'.
